Job Description
We are seeking a Environmental Project Manager/Estimator to support a variety of projects in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and parts of New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing medium to large projects/contracts including estimation, planning, and communication with field foreman and team. Additional oversight of budget, schedules, managing subcontractors, change orders, and invoicing will be required. We are specifically looking for candidates with construction estimation experience over consulting experience.
ResponsibilitiesManage projects or task management on medium to large projects/contracts, including estimation, planning, and issuing directives to field foreman/team.Oversee and manage budgets and schedules while performing forecasting, managing subcontractors, change orders, and invoicing.Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies on managed projects.Manage multiple project schedules with competing deadlines and fixed-price constraints.Mentor and/or supervise junior or project-level staff.Lead and/or oversee environmental field investigations and remediation in accordance with approved work plans.Oversee and work productively with clients and subcontractors while ensuring work scopes and safety requirements are met.Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of technical proposals and cost estimates.Essential SkillsMinimum of 10 years experience in environmental remediationBachelor's degree or higher in engineering or environmental scienceConstruction management experienceStrong experience with remediationExperience estimating and running a remediation construction crewExperience coordinating soil transportation and disposalRemediation project management experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with soil sampling and site assessmentExperience in environmental construction and estimationProven ability to manage project budgets and schedulesStrong leadership and mentoring skillsWork EnvironmentThe primary work environment for this position is in the office located in Pleasantville, NJ, with an opportunity to earn hybrid flexibility. The position will require occasional travel to client sites and other locations to conduct meetings, site visits, etc., within NJ, PA, and NY. This role offers a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity with 2 weeks of PTO and 6 major holidays.About Actalent
