Job Description:

Need for an Environmental Project Manager who will focus on creating innovative, practical solutions to various environmental problems. 
 
The successful candidate will manage site investigation and remediation projects of varying size and complexity, which would include supervision of junior professional staff and technical staff involved in the field investigations, budget control, client liaison and report preparation and review. In addition, the professional would also mentor and provide technical support to more junior staff, as required.
 
A diverse background in environmental site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, building assessments, construction management, operations and maintenance, and field sampling (soils, groundwater, and surface water) is needed with a desire to work within various business sectors.
 
Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.  Works with field team, design team and overall project team to ensure project deliverables are occurring within established schedules and budgets.  Resolves concerns and roadblocks when project schedules, budgets, and resources are a concern.  Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans. 
 
Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.  Advises the client and company management of any such changes.  The Environmental Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.
 
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Responsibilities:

Provide Project Management and other technical services for multiple projects & clients within our Environmental portfolioAct as the Company representative and liaison with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution. Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and oral format.Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as requiredPlans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.Task management including preparation of proposals and cost estimates, field, design and project team management, schedule management, and project organizationEstablish the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.Intermittent field check-ins or in-person Client meetings may be required based on project needsSeeks out project team members right-sized for projects, including technical experts, leaders, and field teams.  Acts as conduit for smooth and working relations between team members. Leads projects involving regulatory compliance consulting services with the proper resources. May review and assist in compiling technical reports and documents prepared by others and ensures a quality product submitted to the clientProvides key business development support to ongoing pursuits, including development of win strategy preparation of proposal packages.Provide technical support and leadership/mentorship to junior staff.Travel for project-related activities- approximately 10% of time. 

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related technical/business field and typically 10+ years of related work experience is required. Professional registration may also be required.A diverse background in environmental site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, and field sampling (soils, groundwater, and surface water) with a willingness to work in various sectors.Must meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements and use of project management tools and software.Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.Must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.Ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookCurrent 40-hour HAZWOPER Training, including 8-hour Supervisor trainingExcellent written and oral communications skills and knowledge of industry practices and environmental rules and regulationsDetail-oriented, team player with good written and oral communication, analytical, organization, and time management skills

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
