Dewberry is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist Intern for Summer 2025 to work in our Orlando, FL office. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to spend the summer working with a team of talented environmental professionals and apply their academic knowledge in the environmental field. The individual will assist professionals with work associated with aspects of natural resource inventory, analysis, wetland delineation, permitting and mitigation.

Responsibilities

The successful individual will assist in the desktop review of natural resources for various types of projects, and help conduct soil, hydrology and vegetation inventories/plant identifications and wildlife assessments, as applicable. Prepare plans, specifications, maps, exhibits and supporting documentation for client and regulatory approvals. The individual may also provide assistance with preparation of federal, state and local government permit applications, GIS analyses, as well as document field investigation results.

Required Skills & Required Experience Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, or related field. Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD and/or Microstation is a plus. Ability to work in a team environment and perform field work in a variety of seasonal conditionsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
