Your Opportunity

 

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated, personable, and organized undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Science or a related major.  As an emerging professional, you will be working with a multi-disciplinary team in the office and at project site locations.  This position will be based out of our Mount Laurel, NJ office and may require some overnight travel and working at remote field sites. You will work directly with Stantec’s scientists, field team leads, and technicians, in addition to being assigned a mentor who will work one-on-one with you. This position will be four days a week from June 1 to August 15, 2025.

 

Your Key Responsibilities Conduct field data collection, entry, report preparation and production, and quality review Execute field work as part of a field team Communicate daily with your assigned mentor and field team lead(s) Comply with field safety and security protocols Your Capabilities and Credentials Proven technical, communication, and organizational skills Proficient in MS Office applications Ability to endure long days of physically and mentally challenging field work Ability to walk long distances on flat, uneven ground Ability to work safely in extreme weather conditions Possess a positive solutions-oriented attitude Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a team Ability to work in a dynamic environment Strong work ethics and integrity Sense of humor and desire for team success Good driving record and valid driver’s license Ability to navigate on the road and in the field in remote settings Education and Experience Enrolled in an accredited University or College and perusing a degree in Environmental Science (or related field) A minimum of 4 undergraduate semesters Experience with MS office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word)

 

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
