We are seeking an **Environmental Scientist 2** to join our Redmond, WA team! Come join us!
**Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Join Our Fast-Growing Team Supporting Infrastructure Projects in the Pacific Northwest!
+ We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our arborist team with data collection and management. In this role, you’ll work closely with our certified arborists to conduct field inventory, assist in managing large datasets, and collaborate with CADD teams to perform removal and retention analysis.
+ Your efforts will help streamline and manage the expanding scope of tree-related tasks, ensuring that we can efficiently support critical infrastructure projects and fish habitat enhancement efforts in the Pacific Northwest.

**Minimum requirements:**
+ Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Botany, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
+ Zero (1) to five (5) years of professional experience or graduate school.
+ Education or practical experience in stormwater, geology, engineering, biology, or another related field, showcasing a broad foundation for diverse environmental responsibilities.
+ Ability to work outdoors during inclement weather and on uneven ground, demonstrating a hands-on approach to environmental fieldwork.
+ Demonstrate a strong aptitude for fieldwork, with the core responsibilities involving hands-on environmental assessments and monitoring activities.
+ Be comfortable navigating a construction site on days that may be cold and rainy or sunny and hot.
**Technical requirements:**
+ Successful candidates will thrive as integral members of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to environmental documentation, permitting, and construction monitoring for significant transportation projects in Western Washington.
+ Develop comprehensive technical reports and plans essential for permitting and ensuring construction compliance, contributing to the success of pivotal projects.
+ Showcase proficiency in creating figures, charts, and tables using tools such as MS Excel, Bluebeam, GIS, and other relevant platforms, enhancing the clarity and impact of technical information.
+ Preferred but not required: Experience in wetland delineation, tree and stream evaluations, and construction monitoring.
+ While not mandatory, prior experience in managing people and budgets is a significant asset, demonstrating the ability to lead and efficiently allocate resources.
+ Possession of CESCL (stormwater qualification) and/or Certified Arborist certifications is highly desirable, although not mandatory.
**Other miscellaneous qualities:**
+ Demonstrate adeptness in utilizing various field equipment, showcasing hands-on proficiency in collecting accurate and reliable data.
+ While not mandatory, a background in related environmental science fields, particularly, is considered advantageous, offering a broader perspective to the role.
+ Be able to work independently while also thriving within collaborative team environments
+ Positive, flexible team-oriented approach
+ Bring a meticulous eye for detail to the table, demonstrating resourcefulness in problem-solving and contributing to the precision required for successful project outcomes.
+ Hold a valid driver's license, as this role may involve travel to various locations, reflecting your commitment to mobility and accessibility for project requirements.
**Compensation:**
$32 - $37 hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
