Job Title: Environmental Scientist/Geologist

Job Description

We are seeking a mid to sr-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist to join our dynamic team. This role involves conducting environmental site assessments, managing data, and compiling technical reports for regulatory projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in environmental remediation and due diligence, with a focus on Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

ResponsibilitiesConduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), including remediation and soil sampling.Assist with Clean Construction or Demolition Debris (CCDD) sampling and reporting.Collect and analyze data from soil, groundwater, air, and sediment samples.Draft technical reports for federal and state regulatory projects (e.g., EPA, SRP).Manage data and perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of findings.Communicate with clients regarding project updates and findings.Evaluate environmental data and prepare reports for submission to regulatory agencies.Work within established quality, budget, and schedule expectations for scope-specific assignments.Essential SkillsBS in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.5-7 years of environmental remediation and due-diligence experience, specifically in Phase II ESA.Strong technical report writing skills.Personable and eager to learn.Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper certification or ability to renew it.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to obtain Professional Geologist (PG) certification is preferred.Work Environment

This position offers a flexible and supportive work environment with a strong company culture that feels like a family business. The role involves spending approximately one-third of the time in the office conducting field reports, and the remaining two-thirds on-site conducting remediation samples and investigations. The schedule may vary based on workload. The team consists of 5-6 Environmental Scientists/Geologists. The consultant will have their own office and computer, and access to company vehicles for site visits. There are opportunities for career growth, potentially leading to a Project Manager or department head position.
