AECOM is actively seeking an **Intermediate Environmental Professional** to join our growing Western Canada remediation team in Calgary, AB. We are looking for candidates that are enthusiastic, team-oriented professionals with a strong technical background. In this role, you will work with our experienced team of remediation professionals on various projects with mining, waste management, oil and gas, industrial, municipal, provincial, and federal clients.
This position is a **full-time role** .
**Job Description**
+ Exhibiting safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work.
+ Acting as the field lead/site Supervisor in accordance with OHS Act for assessment, remediation and monitoring programs including hydraulic conductivity testing, groundwater monitoring/sampling, drilling and soil logging, confirmatory sampling, soil treatment, equipment management, well and lease inspection, surface water sampling, and soil vapour and air monitoring.
+ Completing detailed data tracking and management, as well as review of daily field tickets from subcontractors.
+ Preparing high-quality technical reports including but not limited to complex site assessments, annual monitoring reports, conceptual site models, remedial options assessments, remedial action plans, and confirmation of remediation reports. Candidate may also provide intermediate reviews of technical reports completed by junior staff.
+ Developing and managing client-facing relationships.
+ Providing leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior staff in support of ongoing AECOM remediation and reclamation projects.
+ Demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems.
+ Developing strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities. Candidate may also provide technical input for proposals.
+ Communicating regularly with clients and multi-disciplinary AECOM teams.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., civil, chemical, environmental) or sciences (e.g., environmental science, geology).
+ 4 years of environmental consulting experience, specifically Phase I, II and III environmental site assessments and remediation projects.
+ Experience in site supervision and subcontractor management.
+ Ability to obtain professional registration for remediation projects according to the Alberta Joint Practice Standard (i.e., AIA, ASPB, ACPA, APEGA, CAPF, CAPFT, ASET).
+ Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Registration with a professional organization according to the Alberta Joint Practice Standard (i.e., AIA, ASPB, ACPA, APEGA, CAPF, CAPFT, ASET)
+ Ideally 8+ years of environmental consulting and/or industry experience including experience with soil and groundwater remediation management.
+ Ability to apply environmental quality guidelines to data collected from various media and land uses, including Alberta Tier 1 and Tier 2 modifications.
+ Experience developing complex site assessments, annual monitoring reports, conceptual site models, remedial options assessments, remedial action plans, confirmation of remediation reporting and regulatory submissions.
+ Experience developing and implementing project scheduling, monitoring, and tracking systems.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills.
+ Demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multi-disciplinary teams.
+ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
+ Can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
**Additional Information**
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $62,895.00 - $105,000.00.
