Job Summary The Environmental Services Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all areas are properly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with established protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial services, particularly within a hospital or healthcare setting, and will be familiar with OSHA standards for safety and sanitation. Responsibilities + Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, including patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. + Execute floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to ensure floors are clean and well-maintained. + Sanitize surfaces and equipment according to infection control protocols to promote a safe environment for patients and staff. + Dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations and facility policies. + Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. + Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by OSHA and facility guidelines. + Collaborate with other staff members to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met consistently. Experience + Previous experience in environmental services or custodial work is preferred, especially in a hospital or healthcare setting. + Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous. + Knowledge of proper sanitation techniques and safety protocols related to environmental services is essential. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions effectively. + Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are required.
