Environmental Services Aide - Environmental Services - Per Diem
Position Summary: This position carries the responsibility for the provision and maintenance of the cleanliness and the appearance of the hospital. Education, License & Cert: This position has a minimum requirement of grammar school. This position requires the ability to follow written and oral instruction. Experience: On the job training is provided for this position. Essential Functions: + Maintains cleanliness and appearance in all areas of the hospital facility by following department policies and procedures utilizing the proper chemicals, supplies, and equipment. + Maybe responsible for transporting hazardous, regulated, and non‐regulated waste to designated areas. + Movement of light equipment and furniture. + Collection and delivery of soiled and clean linen. + Assists in the orientation of new employees. + Calculates total monies received and compiles daily register reports. + Provides excellent customer service to all contacts. Other Duties: + It is understood that this description is not intended to be all‐inclusive and that other duties may be assigned as necessary in the performance of this position. + Recognizes and reports potential problems to the supervisor or nursing manager on the floor.
