Job Details

Position: Environmental Services Manager (EVS)

Location: Wexner Senior Living Community in Columbus Ohio

Schedule: Day Shift

Salary: $60,000 a year

The EVS Manager will provide quality environmental services in an efficient, cost-effective manner in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards and objectives. In addition, the EVS Manager will be responsible for client relationship management and overseeing and developing our hourly colleagues.

EVS Manager Responsibilities:

Performs all environmental services-related tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow colleagues, facility colleagues and customers. Implementation of environmental services programs which are designed to provide clean, sanitary facilities. Regularly inspects completed work and completes Quality Management reports. Recommends new methods to improve overall performance. Development of colleague assignments (duty lists) which will ensure efficient, cost-effective completion of cleaning and laundry tasks. Maintains accurate reports and records. Recruiting, hiring, supervising and evaluating of non-supervisory and supervisory employees ensuring that standards of performance are met. Accurately completes all required forms and reports on a timely basis. Takes the lead in the orientation, development and motivation of supervisory colleagues, ensuring the colleagues is properly trained at all levels and performance standards are met. Completes all reports accurately and on time. Implements inventory control procedures by recommending types of supplies to be ordered, quantity and timing of orders. Maintains appropriate records to track inventory levels, items ordered and related costs. Ensures that all equipment is clean and in proper working condition. Recommends new equipment when required. Coordinates activities with other departments ensuring meeting room set-up and furniture moving is completed accurately and on time. Develops effective facility relations through formal and informal programs, both verbal and written.

Financial:

Manage department controllable expenses (P&L) including labor, supplies, uniforms and equipment, specific to budgetary guidelines Analyze trends and market activity regarding supply expenses, labor, and overhead costs Submission of financial reports to the VP & corporate office Provide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers


Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent 3 years of management experience, preferably in healthcare-related environmental services A minimum of five (3) years of experience within the environmental services field Demonstrated leadership ability Demonstrated effective verbal and written skills Experience with training methods and techniques Must provide proof of legal status to work
