Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’re looking to add an Environmental Services Supervisor to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect.
A caregiver in this position works 6:30am – 4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Supervise the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department.
Act as a technical resource for team members.
Implement goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units.
Provide effective utilization of personnel, policies, and procedures in order to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
Supervise caregivers in daily operations and evaluate performance.
Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality of cleaning and maintenance is being performed.
Maintain staffing levels.
Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
Ensure cross coverage.
Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.
Improve procedures and processes.
Analyze workflow and procedures.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
A high school diploma or GED.
Two years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager OR one year of supervisory experience in a related field OR a bachelor’s degree.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Previous environmental services or housekeeping experience.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
Ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping and lifting.
