Environmental Services Technician PRN
**Job Description:** This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. **Posting Specifics** + **Pay Rate** **: Based on experience** **Eligible for shift differential for working Evening / Night Shifts.** + **Shift Details** **:** **PRN Position on Nights Shift (0-40 hours/week) –** Will help to cover PTO, calls ins, weekends, holidays.Shift will help to cover the night shift and graveyard.Shifts could range from 5:00pm-1:30am or 10:00pm-2:30am. Schedule is made in advance but may be called in to help cover call-ins or other emergencies where caregivers need to leave a shift at last moment. If additional days need to be covered the manager or coordinator will reach out in advance for shifts to be worked. **Most PRN caregivers will work 1-3 shifts per week to help cover the department needs.** + **Location** : Layton Hospital + **Additional Details:** The person needs to be able to work alone or in a group setting. Job includes lots of walking, pulling, pushing, squatting down, twisting and lots of hand and arm movements. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. Incumbent will help cover all areas of the facility including Operating room, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Medical Office Building, patient rooms, discharges, etc. **This is a** **very physical job** **and incumbent will be expected to stand/walk for 8 hours constantly. Will also need to be able to bend and get down and up easily. Needs to have good hand dexterity and be able to bend and lift loads. (Preferred) **Physical Requirements** + Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs + Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately + Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use + Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
