The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for performing routine preventative, restorative and corrective cleaning of the facility. Follows policies and procedures to ensure standards of cleaning/sanitizing are being met.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8th grade education. One (1) year of housekeeping experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Should be able to push/pull, lift/move 35lbs, be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing, and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to be stationary at a workstation for a prolonged period time in addition to being able to squat or be mobile for a reasonable length of time and distance. Communication requirements include the ability to comprehend the spoken English language in addition to being able to communicate and read the English language.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine preventative, restorative and corrective cleaning of the facility.
• Follow the seven-step cleaning process, terminal cleaning, waste and biohazard removal/handling, and working in maintaining sanitary conditions in public areas, resident areas and surgical rooms.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure standards of cleaning/sanitizing are being met, comply with safe work practices and follow lock out tag out procedures.
• Manages the use and application of chemicals and products.
• Recommend corrective cleaning needs on a preventative basis.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and biohazardous waste.
• Safely operate and keep work equipment in proper operating function so as to provide quality service.
• Documents and maintains cleaning and equipment records.
• Accomplish the day’s tasks as set forth by the position, policies and procedures.
• Responds promptly to customer requests, provide excellent customer service and collaborates with other departments throughout the organization.
• Complete required training as assigned.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $15.61-$20.46/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
