Job Title: Environmental Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the environmental field, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and hold a valid driver's license in good standing. This role involves performing IAQ inspections, building material surveys, and asbestos and lead inspection/monitoring services. The candidate will also be required to document daily activities and travel to various job site locations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform IAQ inspections.
+ Conduct building material surveys, including the collection and laboratory submittal of suspect regulated or toxic materials (e.g., asbestos, lead, UFFI, radon, mold, bacteria).
+ Provide asbestos and lead inspection/monitoring services.
+ Document daily activities.
+ Survey building materials.
+ Travel to various job site locations as required.
Essential Skills
+ 2-4 years of experience in the environmental field.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Valid driver's license in good standing.
+ Environmental science knowledge.
+ Experience in asbestos inspection and abatement.
+ Knowledge of hazardous materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associates or Bachelor of Science Degree in environmental or science discipline or equivalency preferred.
+ Massachusetts Asbestos Monitor and Inspector License.
+ Other asbestos-related certifications for some or all of New England (NH/CT/VT/ME/RI) are preferred.
