About you and this role We are seeking anEnvironmental Specialistfor Louisiana Operations inPlaquemine, LA. As the Environmental Specialist, you lead hub or site EH&S compliance and implementation of the safety management system in one of multiple fields including, for example, health and safety (H&S), environmental, air, water and industrial hygiene. You maintain the license to operate for the site or hub. This role requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities. Responsibilities + Lead implementation of global EH&S management systems. + Lead EH&S performance improvement of assigned plant(s), site, hub, and business. + Coordinate, implement, and optimize EH&S programs and compliance programs across site/hub. + Participate in incident investigations and the corrective action process for EH&S issues and opportunities. + Perform central review of all EH&S related documents and submittals to ensure consistency and compliance goals are met. + Perform Requirements Management Work Process (RWMP) roles as needed. + Initiate and support management of change (MOC) for EH&S programs and compliance matters, as necessary. + Act as Agency Visit protocol owner and implementer. + Manage permits including submittal of permit applications for new and modified equipment, requests for permit changes, and submittal of permit renewal applications. + Coach, train, and mentor EH&S technicians. + Perform site or plant gap assessments around EH&S work process implementation. + Develop, review, monitor, create and deliver training as appropriate. Qualifications + A minimum of a Bachelor's degreeorrelevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant (PO2/Sgt) Military ranking required. + At least 3 years of EH&S, manufacturing or related experience required. + Must possess a TWIC cardorbe eligible to obtain a TWIC card. Your Skills + Environmental Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. This includes knowledge of regulations, permitting, and plant operations. + Project Management: The ability to manage projects effectively, including planning, execution, and monitoring. This involves coordinating with various departments, managing timelines, and ensuring that project goals are met. + Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, solve problems, and make informed decisions. This includes using statistical tools and software to interpret data and improve processes. + Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and clients. This includes the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely. + Leadership and Teamwork: The ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
