Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented  Environmental Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a long-term, large-scale remediation project at the Giant Mine Site.

Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

Parsons is the Construction Manager of the Giant Mine Remediation Project. This is a world class remediation project using innovative methods to deliver a safe environment. The project is expected to last over 10 years and is located just outside the City of Yellowknife, NWT.

What You'll Be Doing:

Field and office duties associated with the environmental program at the Giant Mine siteMaintains documentation in record logsInspecting work areas for environmental regulatory compliance daily and weeklyConducting a regulatory audits of subcontractors and work activities (desktop and field audit)Communicating corrective actions to subcontractorsOverseeing construction and sampling activities dailyReview of subcontractor environmental submittalsMaintaining environmental information logsReview and development of plans and procedures relating to work onsite.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Geoscience, Engineering or closely related field from an accredited institution3+ years of related work experienceMust have a valid drivers license and capable of driving light duty vehiclesWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be a team player
