We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary Provides regulatory advice, guidance, and interpretation to company personnel which ensures or improves compliance with all water related regulations at company facilities.  Reads, analyzes, and interprets new and existing regulations pertaining to water related issues that could affect the company.  Participates in developing and assessing new state or federal regulations or state legislation from proposal to promulgation.   Provides expert, technical support to the environmental regulatory review process and environmental program compliance.  Prepares and submits correspondence, position papers and technical reviews on the scientific and regulatory aspects of water related impact analyses.  Analyzes environmental regulatory requirements for potential impact and imposed regulatory limitations and assists in the development of a management plan for compliance.  Develops interpretive compliance aids to assist internal understanding of complex regualtory issues.  Duties may include representing the company before regulatory agencies, industry groups, and the public on environmental issues and providing company specific feedback.  Assists in the development of environmental compliance training.  Advises on operations, construction, procedures, records, and training, to ensure compliance with environment requirements prescribed in laws, regulations, company policies, and company procedures. 
 

Note: The duties of this position do not include obtaining permits, submitting data reports or in-field environmental compliance.
 
Specific subject areas this position will support through environmental guidance and regulatory review include: Wetlands, Waters of the US, Stormwater, CWA 316(a) /316(b), Effluent Limit Guidelines, Water Quality Standards and Water Withdrawal / Supply Planning and other water related issues as needed. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

At least 5-7 years directly related experience;   Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year of experience towards the experience requirement.  A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.

Note:  Candidates selected for interview will be required to complete an environmental alert exercise (writing exercise) and be prepared to discuss during the interview process.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:  Bachelor
 

Preferred Discipline(s):  Engineering, Environmental Science
