What You’ll Do: + Implement compliance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and amendments. Ensure that every Iowa ARNG facility has regulated waste management program that abides by all appropriate federal, state, and DoD regulations. + Sample possible regulated wastes to ensure their proper disposal. Verify and track all regulated waste streams for all Iowa ARNG facilities. + Serve as the point of contact for all Iowa ARNG facilities and regulatory agencies regarding RCRA compliance and regulatory updates. + Manage federal regulated waste disposal contracts to ensure proper and timely disposal of materials. + Work with team to complete regular compliance inspections on Very Small, Small, and Large Quantity Generator facilities, documenting findings and ensuring they are remediated appropriately. + Provide regular training to the Very Small, Small, and Large Quantity Generator facilities to ensure overall subject awareness is understood and implemented. Location and hours: Camp Dodge, 7105 NW 70th Ave Johnston, IA 50131. Flexible schedule – 40 hours a week – some telework. Travel is required-primarily within the state; some out of state travel.
