Chemours is seeking an Environmental Intern to join our Minerals Enterprise team! This position will report directly to the Environmental Manager.
Location: Jessup, GA
Hours: Full-time or part-time schedule, flexible to candidate needs
Term: 3-month assignment between May-August 2024 (i.e. 3-month assignment between May-August)
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work with staff to conduct environmental field sampling of wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water. Interpret data of field environmental sample results
Assist with data entry and environmental metrics. Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance inspections and audits
Assist with tasks for environmental compliance with Federal, State, and Local rules/regulations
Complete required Environmental, Health and Safety training for the duties and hazards of the position
The following is required for this role:
Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Biology, or similar fields
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
The following is preferred for this role:
3.0 GPA or above
Technical Experience Preferred
Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
