Weston & Sampson Services is looking for a Pump Station Technician. This position will require travel in the area north of Worcester, including but not limited to West Boylston, Lancaster, and Shirley.
What you’ll do:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of treatment plants and associated pump stations within the service area. Perform daily inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment at wastewater and water treatment plants and pump stations, as assigned.What you will bring:
Must be able to climb ladders and lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds Must have a valid driver’s licenseWill be required to respond to emergencies, work shift, on-call, weekends, and holidays, as assignedA high school diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of one year of mechanical experience are requiredMust have good written and verbal communication, customer service, problem solving, and organizational skillsAbility to obtain a wastewater treatment and/or water treatment operator’s license within 1 year of employment is preferredSalary:
Dependent on years of experience and licensing.
Incentives:
Pay increases may be offered with newly acquired licenses (Wastewater, Water, or other job-related license) as approved by the supervisor during the interview process.
Requirements:
Full-time position may require various shifts and/or flexible hours. You will be expected to participate in the on-call rotation, occasional overtime, holidays, weekends and nights.
