Job Title: Environmental Technician

Job Description

We are partnering with a large environmental consulting firm to train an environmental field technician to work on large agricultural projects and landfill sites. The ideal candidate must be mechanically inclined and knowledgeable with a multimeter.

ResponsibilitiesConduct routine maintenance of groundwater and soil treatment systems.Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting or repair as necessary.Record and maintain daily field logs reporting data collected, field observations, actions taken, and recommended actions to be taken.Manage condensate system operations and maintenance.Perform surface emissions sampling at various test locations including wells, probes, headers, blowers, flares, and pumps.Operate, calibrate, and maintain various analytical and monitoring equipment.Evaluate and interpret scientific data.Communicate observations and technical data verbally and in writing with supervisors and clients.Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required. Knowledgeable with a multimeter.Mechanical inclination.Ability to conduct routine maintenance of groundwater and soil treatment systems.Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.Experience in condensate management system operations and maintenance.Proficient in operating, calibrating, and maintaining analytical and monitoring equipment.Ability to evaluate and interpret scientific data.Experience in construction, general labor, environmental field work, remediation, and farming.Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.) and operating electric tools (drills, saws, etc.).Ability to properly operate, monitor, and maintain gas collection systems in compliance with various prescribed operating parameters and goals.Ability to perform work independently or as a team member in a professional, productive, and safe manner, adopting the principles of the company's safety culture.About Actalent
