Environmental Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our team for the 3rd shift (11pm-7am) in Hatfield, PA. The role involves transporting labeled drums of waste, identifying the contents, and loading/unloading the drums onto trucks. Additionally, you will separate hazardous from non-hazardous waste and place them accordingly in the warehouse. This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth in a company with over 30 years in the environmental industry.

ResponsibilitiesTransport and handle labeled drums of waste.Identify and differentiate between various substances in the drums.Load and unload drums onto trucks.Separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste.Place waste materials in the designated areas within the warehouse.Essential SkillsBachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Chemistry OR one year of experience in a related industry.Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 40 certification is a plus.Experience in general labor and soil sampling.Work Environment

This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, with half of the work being in an environmental field setting. Candidates must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day, and stand or walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods. The role requires working in all weather conditions outdoors and in non-climate-controlled indoor environments. Safety is a priority, and the company provides the best equipment for your protection. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
