Job Title: Environmental Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our team on the 3rd shift (11pm-7am) in Hatfield, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting labelled drums of waste, detecting which substances fill each drum, and loading and offloading drums onto trucks. Additionally, the technician will separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste and place them in the warehouse accordingly. While a 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is a plus, candidates without it will have the opportunity to gain this certification.

ResponsibilitiesTransport labelled drums of waste.Detect and identify substances in each drum.Load and offload drums onto trucks.Separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste.Place waste in the warehouse accordingly.Essential SkillsBachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Chemistry OR one-year experience in a related industry.Strong work ethic and a positive, 'want to work' attitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 40 certification.40 Hour Hazwoper certification.Experience in environmental science, general labor, or soil sampling.Work Environment

The work environment includes both outdoor and indoor settings, with half the time spent outside and the other half inside. Candidates must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday and stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
