Job Overview The Environmental Technician Lead Biologist is responsible for the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Obtain annual approval and implement the Installation’s Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). Identify and maintain current information on natural resources through implementation of day-to-day activities required to support an effective conservation program. Meet the requirements of the Tree City USA by chairing a tree board, documenting a tree care ordinance, organizing an Arbor Day observation, and obtaining a signed proclamation. Draft and submit package annually to gain Tree City USA recognition. Advise base personnel on tree planting and replacement as required. Implement day-to-day requirements to sustain an effective conservation program IAW all applicable and most current DoD, AF, federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Maintain and update the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP) annually, IAW the applicable AFI and the Sikes Act. Implement plans and procedures to protect Natural Resources as outlined in the annual INRMP Work Plan. Review the INRMP annually in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Document the annual review in an INRMP annual review summary. Performs other related work as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: Biology Degree from an university accredited in the degree issued. Two (2) years of full time or practical experience in the environmental field and working with federal regulations and documents (RCRA, CWA, CAA, FIFRA and FIFRA).  Must complete the DoD Natural Resources Compliance course endorsed by the Department of Defense Interservice Environmental Education Review Board, offered to all DoD components by the Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officers School. Intermediate skill in the use of Microsoft Office, and database programs. Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.  Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.  Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.   Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.   Must be able to read, write and speak English.
