This position is an entry-level developmental role and will report to the Corporate Environmental Department. The candidate will be involved in providing support and assistance for Bunge’s environmental management initiatives and activities. This position will have the opportunity to learn and develop under the guidance of the industry’s leading environmental professionals with an excellent opportunity to develop a wide spectrum of skills, leadership development and career advancement within Bunge. After initial assignment of 18 – 24 months of structured development, the candidate will be evaluated for promotion to another Bunge position as it becomes available.
Main Accountabilities:
Support the development and monitoring of environmental management activities (e.g., compliance, performance metrics improvements, procedures, guidance, etc.) Assist with updating Bunge environmental standards to promote a Best-in-Class environmental compliance program with a focus on eliminating environmental incidents and non-compliance events. Coach Bunge personnel on environmental standards and procedure interpretations. Participate in conducting environmental training for plant personnel, contractors and visitors. Support environmental sustainability. Assist with environmental permit applications (e.g., air, waste, water, storm water). Participate in environmental audits and inspections at facilities to ensure compliance with internal environmental standards and procedures and regulatory requirements, identify deficiencies and assist in the development of corrective actions.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or closely related field required Prior internship or other environmental experience preferred Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills required Good working knowledge of PC applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPointBunge (NYSE: BG) is a world leader in sourcing, processing and supplying oilseed and grain products and ingredients.
