Environments Lead

We are seeking an Environments Lead to support a large Supply Chain ERP transformation to Oracle Fusion. This is a SFIA Level 5 role, requiring hands-on expertise in managing and orchestrating test, development, and production environments to support the transformation programme.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

As the Environments Lead, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of environments across the modernisation programme, ensuring they are fit for purpose, secure, and available to meet programme needs. You will play a key role in orchestrating ERP environment provisioning, configuration, and management to support the phased transition from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure architecture decisions enable agility, innovation, and long-term sustainability.

Your role will involve:

Define and implement best practices for managing test, development, and production environments across Supply Chain ERP modernisation.Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of environments to align with transformation requirements, ensuring availability and performance.Establish governance frameworks for environment control, refresh cycles, and security compliance.Work closely with Solution Architects, DevOps, and Testing teams to ensure environment needs are met.Ensure environments support the integration of legacy systems and new Oracle Fusion ERP modules, enabling a structured transition.Drive the use of automation tools for environment provisioning and monitoring, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues, managing risks related to configuration, data consistency, and infrastructure.Engage with key stakeholders to align environment planning with programme milestones.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in environment management.Hands-on expertise in provisioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex multi-tier environments.Experience working within a SIAM model, ensuring cross-supplier collaboration and governance.Understanding of cloud-based ERP deployment models (Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS).Strong understanding of transformation using integrations to segment legacy systems and transition to modern platforms in logical phases.Experience in configuration management, version control, and infrastructure automation.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and test environment automation.Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NCSC guidelines).Ability to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring environment needs align with business and technical objectives.


Desirable Skills:

Experience working in supply chain ERP transformation, logistics, or procurement systems.Familiarity with AI-driven testing and automation frameworks.Certification in Cloud (Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure) and DevOps methodologies

This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have (or be able to acquire) SC clearance.  Ad-hoc travel may be required to various customer and Leidos sites 

Location: Commutable to Nottingham (Hybrid - On-site average 3 days per week.)
