**HPC Industrial** , powered by Clean Harbors, in **Texarkana, AR,** is looking for an **IS Equipment Operator/ Laborer II** to join their safety conscious team! The Operator is responsible for the safe and proper execution of HPC Industrial jobs across all services lines. Responsible for performing basic labor tasks using hand tools and operating power equipment (non-driver). Operates one or more equipment types that may include but may not be limited to: Wet Vac Straight Truck; Tank Truck Straight Truck; Water Truck; Steam Truck Straight Truck; Maintenance Truck, General Yellow Iron (backhoe, excavator). Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.
**WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Industrial setting – Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Utilities, Pulp and Paper Mills, etc.**

+ Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions.
+ See, read, distinguish and understand signs in the work area. Hear and distinguish emergency signals while on duty.
+ Operates service line equipment in accordance with guidelines and safety procedures (such as thermal desorption unit, centrifuges, hydroblasters, pumps).
+ Performs equipment maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance when required.
+ Monitors equipment and collects required data.
+ Communicates issues to management.
+ Must be able to hold and operate with both hands a double trigger hydro blast shotgun and other hydro blast equipment.
+ Lift and maintain a minimum of 40lbs.
+ Tolerate being wet from head to toe for an unlimited amount of time.
+ Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary platforms up to heights of 200 feet.
+ Tolerate and function in confined spaces of a minimum of five (5) foot inside diameter.
+ Hold the back thrust of 50lbs. on a straight 66” pipe for a minimum of one (1) hour.
+ Must be capable of working up to 16 hours per shift if needed.
+ Must be physically capable of using both negative pressure and air supplied respirators.
+ Must be able to wear protective clothing and/or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, Nomex coveralls, back belt, slickers, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask and escape pack, and a hard hat.
+ Work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+degree Fahrenheit, 98% humidity; and sub-zero weather conditions) relative to geographic location.
+ Exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust and highly pressurized fluids. (A respirator will be provided when required.)
+ Noise levels exceed 85 dBA (hearing protection is provided and required).
+ Other Duties as Assigned.
+ Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs.
+ Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
+ Valid driver’s license.
+ Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
+ Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums.
