Advanced Programs is seeking an experienced EO/Laser Engineer to work advanced EO/IR systems at our sunny Orlando location!!

What You Will Be Doing

The individual will be responsible for conducting trade studies involving multiple complimentary sensors (EO and RF) and providing recommendations for a demonstration of a system of systems prototype going forward.

The engineer will need to conduct a survey of available EO/IR sensors and work with other LM sites to optimize full system performance. Emphasis will be on light weight low cost sensors.

Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform the following Electro-Optical Engineering assignments:

• Demonstrate knowledge or experience of EO systems consisting of advanced optical/infrared material and coatings.

• Demonstrate experience of EO systems consisting state of the art sensors, and advanced laser systems.

• Demonstrate knowledge or experience in radiometric EO analysis and simulation.

• Perform and analysis of EO candidate systems for both ground and airborne sensor suite applications.

• Demonstrate an ability to define and/or access and utilize target threat signatures in EO modeling.

• Demonstrate the ability to utilize when running EO performance analysis simulations or developing target models.

• Perform trade studies and system verification analyses to optimize candidate system performance, cost, size and weight.

• Model solutions that can be fabricated for laboratory and characterization prior to development.

• Perform and specification of instrumentation for integrated system level tower and field testing.

• Conduct parametric studies to support advanced EO targeting sensor and seeker development.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

**Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance, therefore you must be a US Citizen.

• Demonstrate knowledge or experience in radiometric EO analysis and simulation.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
