About the Role:

We're open to Expressions of Interest for Chef's and experienced Cooks for Fly in Fly out (FiFo) positions on our remote Oil and Gas mining camps. Ventia's Cooks pride themself of creating hearty catering services to all field-based staff on our remote mobile camps to provide a home away from home in remote and diverse country across Queensland.

 

Our FiFo Mobile Camps roles allows you to work independently in the kitchen bringing your culinary skills and 'home cooked' style meals to the table. You will be preparing a variety of meals from breakfasts, snacks, desserts, nutritional and hearty dinners, catering for approximately 8-35 field staff and report directly to the Camp Manager.

Duties:

Provide high quality, nutritious food to our employees & clients Manage and run the kitchen autonomously  Cooking, food prep, cleaning of the kitchen & assisting with ordering Strict adherence to all HSE policies, procedures & safe food handling practices Contribute with a high level of customer service Assist with transportation of meals, general cleanliness, laundry services and other ad hoc duties as required

 
Skills & Experience:

Qualifications in commercial cookery, food safety or similar are advantageous, but not essential. Manual Drivers Licence mandatory Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain Current National Police Clearance Certificate or willing to obtain Flexible availability (including night shifts) with ability to work away from home for extended periods
