AREA3 is a leader in the provision of strategic advisory, development consulting, project management and project delivery services to a range of national and international clients across the public and private sectors. With a professional emphasis on development and construction, we specialise in the infrastructure, telecommunications/information technology, commercial and social infrastructure sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for HSE Manager with relevant experience in construction and great communications skills. If you are already working in a similar role and have excellent client-facing skills gained within large organizations, we would like to discuss our HSE opportunities with you.

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Guide and support site teams in implementing effective safety measures and practices. Coordinate and participate in incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions. Provide HSE guidance and training to employees and contractors to promote a safety-conscious culture. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution. Participate in tender processes by reviewing and advising on HSE requirements and contributing to proposal development.

 

Requirements:

Proven experience as an HSE Manager in the construction and building industry. Tertiary qualifications in WHS or Environmental Management or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in contractor management, Head contractor. In-depth knowledge of safety audits, inspections, and hazard identification techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams towards achieving safety excellence. Sound understanding of local HSE regulations and standards. Experience in participating in tender processes and preparing HSE documentation for bids.
