EP CSC Finance and Benefits Specialist
      EARLY PSYCHOSIS (EP) FINANCE & BENEFIT SPECIALIST   $44k-55k - Commensurate with education and experience Full time and Part time positions available    Responsible for Supported Employment and Education, case management, and assessment for young persons, their families or natural supports, who are eligible for EP CSC Services.    Who You Are: BA/BS preferred. BA/BS in rehabilitation counseling or related field preferred. At least 1 year experience providing vocational/employment services preferred.  Understanding of youth systems and resources, including schools, preferred.  Understanding of secondary education preferred. At least 1 year of supervised experience in providing individualized job development and supported employment on behalf of persons with physical disabilities or mental health issues preferred.  Valid driver’s license required.  Reliable transportation required.   What You Will Do: Engages in outreach with persons-served and their families, including but not limited to, going to job sites, attendance at IEP meetings, or attending college tours. Assists persons-served in identifying their vocational goals. Follows the principles and procedures of NAVIGATE Supported Employment and Education (SEE), as indicated by Person-Served’ preferences. Takes primary responsibility in completing vocational assessments, implementing vocational interventions and documenting services with assigned person-served, using recovery-oriented and evidence-based practices, as trained Conducts job development and job search activities directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of the person-served. Assists Person-Served with all aspects of their educational pursuits, such as accompanying on campus tours, assisting with applying for classes/college, teaching skills needed to manage their course load, and assistance requesting reasonable accommodations, if applicable. Discusses Person-Served preference for disclosure of psychiatric status to employers and educators, including possible costs and benefits and specific information to be disclosed. Provides assistance with the job search and educational pursuits regardless of Person-Served’ preference regarding disclosure (i.e. support without employer contact when Person served chooses not to disclose) Provides education and support to employers and educators as agreed upon by Person served, which may include negotiating reasonable accommodations and follow-along contact with the employer/educator. Provides education and support to persons-served and their families regarding ADA accommodations, IDEA, FAPE, and state-specific educational accommodations and supports.   Engages in collateral communication for persons-served on behalf of the EP CSC team, as needed. Engage persons-served and their natural supports in assessments, including but not limited to, MAPNET assessments and Clinical High-Risk screenings. Provide benefits counseling and assists persons-served and families with applications for entitlements and connections to community resources. Provides family support, as appropriate, inclusive of NAVIGATE Family Education Training Engage in group facilitation (e.g., family support group, multifamily group, or others) Maintains a recovery orientation with shared decision making at its center Appropriately and effectively role models for Persons-served through actions and appearance. Provides accurate observations/assessments of Person-Served behavior. Monitors and records Person served progress in all service areas. Records all findings in myEvolv Attends all FEP SEE Learning Collaborative activities and trainings. Provides family education and training on SEE, as needed. Coordinates information received from other EP CSC staff, agencies and services. Solicits information from all treatment team members Provides information and referral to community employment service resources, such as MRC, as needed Attends EP CSC Staff Meetings Attends agency Employment and Education consultations and serves as a leader and consultant to other Edinburg programs and services in need of consultation or support with employment, education, or entitlements. Respects Person served’ rights, preferences and choices in all aspects of service delivery. Performs other job duties required and consistent with the nature of the job.
