About the job

Our Team:

In this role, you would be the mainly responsible person for the external medical engagement in the Netherlands, but you would also be part of our North Europe Established Products medical team where priorities and strategies will be shaped to seize the external opportunities to give patients access to life-saving medications. The role will be focusing on developing ‘win-win' relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions, creating constructive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to improve lipid-lowering therapy, disseminate scientific information and generate medical insights.

Main responsibilities:

Develop and execute medical engagement plan for lipid lowering therapy in the Netherlands, and in doing so identifying the right stakeholders to engage with externallyCreate awareness towards external stakeholders around the scientific rationale for treatment of lipids in patients with ACS and other atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases, including diabetes and angina pectorisLead projects to improve the lipid treatment protocols post-ACS (acute coronary syndrome) in hospitals, in collaboration with the further cross-functional teamDevelop and maintain trusted partnerships, through scientific engagement and exchange, with healthcare professionals and institutions in a rapidly evolving healthcare environmentProvide high-quality, accurate, balanced and directed information to key customers and (internal) stakeholders in response to unsolicited requests for information, supports investigators in IIR submissions, management of local advisory boardsContribute to the brand strategy by gathering impactful key medical insights from the field and sharing these with the further cross-functional teamProvide up-to-date scientific expertise internally, acting as a key expert in the relevant therapeutic areaTraveling is required, mostly within the Netherlands

About youExperience: Medical affairs experience preferred; Clinical/research/medical affairs experience within cardiology and/or diabetes preferredSoft and technical skills: Impactful scientific exchange, Knowledge of lipid treatment in cardiovascular diseases, effective in using multiple channels and formats for scientific engagements to maximize stakeholders satisfaction and impact.Strategic thinking, Entrepeneurial mindset, Planning and organizational skills, Business acumen, Interpersonal relationship, Transversal collaboration and Learning agilityEducation: MD, PhD, Pharmacy or post graduate level science degree (required)Languages:Dutch native and high level in spoken and written business EnglishTravel: availability to travel in the Netherlands is required (a lease car will be assigned)
