Responsibilities Directly interface with customers to establish a treating system that will perform the required task and meet customer requirementsPrioritize, organize and efficiently complete daily work requirements for ever-changing external customer inquiries as well as internal customersPrepare accurate calculations, some of which are non-standard proposal estimates, and specifications on-time and within budgetRespond to client needs in a timely manner with technically sound positionsProactively contribute to the continuous improvement effort of the Client product linesMentor Sales Engineers to increase their skills and experienceUtilize programs to size proprietary equipmentCreate Sales Schematics based upon standardsSubmit estimating requestsCalculate envelope mass balanceCreate Technical Proposals Directly interface with customers to establish a processing systemRead complex RFQ / ITB and interpret customers’ needsModify commercial proposals for customer specific needsFill in process and materials data on equipment datasheets for firm price estimatesComplete customer specific documentation for proposalsParticipate in Sales Challenge Meetings for innovative technology approachesProvide sales with support including a thorough knowledge of Client standards and engineering practices to establish scope of workAchieve individual performance goals that are set by SupervisorContinuously improve our commitment to excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety and Security performanceSupport special projects and other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering Degree required.  BS Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering preferredMinimum 5 years of technical experience within the respective discipline working in a refinery, petrochemical, gas processing, E&C company or related industry requiredUse specialized software or other knowledge such as Promax, ChemCad, Microsoft Office requiredEngineering background in refinery or petrochemical environment with an understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment and instruments sizing, and development of basic engineering packages desiredProcess simulation experience required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to gather data, set priorities, and meet deadlines Able to work efficiently in a team environment. Position requires providing support to a variety of departments and levels within the organization
