Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Sustaining engineering for the wet chemistry wafer cleaning ensuring best practices are in place to achieve highest quality output including defectivity as measured by Lasertec and microscopy and metal impurity analysis by external and eventually internal means such as TXRF Troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment with a focus on yield and process improvements Develop and implement preventive and corrective actions to prevent future potential issues Process monitoring and control in order to ensure quality material by detecting out of control conditions Ownership of the wet process cleaning processes to ensure best results Some Metrology tool maintenance and monitoring Continuous process improvement to improve capability, process efficiency and quality. Supporting several different projects at the same time process Training of operators and technicians

Education & Experience

BS or MS in mechanical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or equivalent experience 5+ years’ experience in semiconductor wet etching

Skills

Knowledge and experience with wet chemical cleaning (preferably SiC) Knowledge in measurement techniques of film properties. Understanding of databases and data analysis Experience in Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) In depth knowledge of process chemistry used in cleaning  Good process and equipment troubleshooting skills Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and 24/7 operation Self-motivated, ability to work independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Thorough understanding of safety requirements and practices in a semiconductor fab cleanroom
