Epic Administrative Director Transformation
Position Summary   The Administrative Director of Transformation is responsible for all EHR project aspects: strategy, project management and personnel, and is the face of the project. As a member of the Office of Transformation and under the direction of the EHR Executive Sponsors,the Administrative Director of Transformation ensures that the project is on the right path and has the visibility it requires. This role oversees the Epic and 3rd party build in areas including but not limited to Ambulatory, Inpatient, and Revenue Cycle technology. This role’s strategic leadership and expertise will drive system strategies to advance the utilization of clinical information systems consistent with our goals and objectives.   Primary Responsibilities   ● Work closely with EHR program leaders to ensure proper project execution aligned with expected objectives. Anticipates and mitigates risks; escalates obstacles, concerns, or risks in a timely manner. Tracks all significant project decisions.
● Responsible for weekly program or ad hoc updates to the EHR Executive Steering Committee, including effective communication to inform and influence key stakeholders and end-users, ensuring alignment and understanding of program status, goals and objectives.
● Provides direct oversight of the EHR Application Leads to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer satisfaction and support for operational stakeholders.
● Regularly meets with the Office of Transformation, the EHR Executive Steering Committee and the EHR Executive Sponsors to ensure program alignment.
● Responsible for owning and updating the EHR project plan to track progress to key milestones, required resources and deliverables. Overall responsibility for project task completion on time and budget.
● May be required to participate in EHR advisory councils to ensure cross-communication
between respective EHR governing bodies.
● Other responsibilities include: Ability to travel for project collaboration, training and to support implementations at Hunterdon and Partner facilities. May be required to work off-duty shifts or be on-call including evenings, nights, and weekends to support operations during times of major installs. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Requirements

● Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and best practices.
● Goal orientation and action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined, good at project planning, organizing, communication, presentation, team motivation and delegation.

● Strong problem-solving skills, inherent decision-making ability and ability to manage a complex, highly integrated project.
● Strong leader of others with good human relations, diplomacy, and oral/written communications skills in technical and non-technical areas.
● Action-oriented, with experience managing deadlines and strength across a broad range of project management skills.
● An excellent candidate will have successfully led other enterprise-wide projects such as other software implementations, building projects, or other key initiatives.  

Minimum Education:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Healthcare field or a Related Field
Preferred: Master’s Degree

Required:

â–ª 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role managing an Epic project with experience leading an Epic implementation

â–ª 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role managing large scale implementation IT projects

with experience leading an Epic implementation

License, Registry or Certification:

Required: none
Preferred: PMP certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

â–ª Google Application experience (including Gmail, Google Shared Drives,
Google Calendar).

Preferred:
â–ª Project Management experience in a Health care environment preferred.
â–ª 5+ years with strong functional understanding of hospital, clinic, and billing operations preferred
â–ª Project Management experience in Epic EHR delivery as it relates to clinical, revenue cycle and technical applications.
â–ª Microsoft Application experience (MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
