Overview of the Position:
This is a Remote Position reporting into a Denver based Team.
The Epic Analyst III role emphasizes building functionality within the Epic environment to enhance user experience and tool usage, ultimately improving patient care within the DaVita community. Ideal candidates are proactive, resourceful, and ready to manage projects from start to finish. This position involves collaboration with product architects, trainers, and various stakeholders, requiring expertise to guide best practices, define build requirements, and support training and implementation efforts.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining the Epic system, addressing defects, executing Epic upgrades, and providing on-site customer support when necessary. The candidate should leverage their knowledge to solve problems, make data-driven decisions, and mentor junior analysts, thriving in a fast-paced, primarily remote environment.
About the Epic CKD Team:
DaVita Physicians Solutions partners with Epic to deliver CKD EHR solutions to nephrology practices, enhancing user satisfaction, supporting value-based care, and improving patient outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Upgrade, enhancement, and special projects work
- Support Epic upgrades in assessing needs, completing build, testing, and supporting training team with contents of change/update.
- Learn about future trends in EHR technology to support and promote high value build and functionality in areas such as Value Based Care, Regulatory programs, Integrations and - -Interoperability for Nephrologists and their practices.
- Work in Nova, Asana, Product Board, JIRA and other tools to document build steps and statuses
- Work with end users and SMEs to understand enhancement and optimization requests
- Research, design, build, and testing of workflows and enhancements
- Documenting and migrating build
- Implementation support
- Assist in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, build, testing, and go-live phases of the implementation
- Support users and training team with build fixes and responding to questions about workflow design
- Implementation support for new practices and new modules
- Documenting and migrating build
- Written and verbal collaboration with end users and internal partners to understand issues, design solutions, and explain workflows
- Engaging with third parties to define, build, test, and troubleshoot integrated workflows 30%
- Incident and request resolution
- Monitor ServiceNow for incidents and requests assigned to team
- Follow-up with requesters as needed for additional information
- Update status and document notes and resolution
- Manage team-owned work queues and error logs
- Some on-call responsibilities for urgent issues
- Management of work queues and error queues
- Documenting and migrating build
- Mentoring and training of other Epic team members
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years of building experience as an Epic Build Analyst - Required
- Knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Epic Community Connect
Developing and implementing patient engagement strategy through technology - Preferred
Project scoping and management
- Proficiency with the following tools:
Epic tools such as Nova and Sherlock
Product/Project Management tools such as Asana, Product Board, JIRA/Confluence
- MyChart
Third Party application integration
FHIR expertise
API expertise
- Patient completed flowsheet - Required
- Patient focus build
- Consolidating patient tools across multiple platforms
- Driving patient behavior/ program oriented patient workflow build - Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
ERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
-Two or more of the following Epic Build Certification(s):
EpicCare Ambulatory - Required
Mychart - Required
- Project Management Certification (PMP or CAPM) - Preferred
TRAVEL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS
- Travel: Up to 25% for visits to customer practices, team meetings, conferences, and training
- Nights/Weekends: Occasional nights and weekend work needed during onsite trips and to support urgent issues

Salary/ Wage Range
$91,000.00 - $133,700.00 / yearCompensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
