About the Role
South Central Regional Medical Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Epic implementation team as an Epic Implementation Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the implementation of a leading healthcare software system. The intern will play a critical role in supporting the success of the project by assisting with various tasks and ensuring smooth workflows within the Epic department.
Key Responsibilities
Support Epic Implementation Tasks: Assist the Epic implementation team with scheduling, documentation, and coordination of activities related to the software rollout. Proctor Certification Exams: Serve as the proctor for Epic certification exams, ensuring the integrity of the testing process by maintaining compliance with guidelines and procedures. Workflow Coordination: Help manage task assignments, track deadlines, and communicate progress to team members. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in compiling documentation for training materials, system configurations, and project updates. Team Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, trainers, and stakeholders to support implementation goals. Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions to understand Epic modules and how they are applied in the hospital setting.Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Availability to commit to the duration of the internship.What You Will Gain
