Epic Instructional Designer
Overview

Epic Instructional Designer -ClinDoc/Stork

Responsible for writing and editing the curricula for all roles that require training in Epic application modules as well as creating job aids and other training documentation for staff. The ID's specialize in a specific application module, obtaining certification as required. They may also be cross-trained in other application modules as educational needs are identified. They will participate in end user workflow analysis and validation during system planning and design phases. Additionally ID's participate in all aspects of the training program development and implementation.

ID's will spend time leading classroom training and must be able to present material clearly and with confidence. The ID's continue to be responsible for conducting the training for new staff, and coordinating training for software upgrades and updates.

Requirements

Associates degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Information Technology, or sciences required.  Licensure and/or Clinical Certification required, if applicable to the degree. Skill and experience with Adult Education required. Requires the ability to independently interact with customers and demonstrate critical thinking and follow through when developing solutions to identified issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point required. NC Drivers license required.  Local travel between FirstHealth facilities also required.

Travel to Wisconsin for Epic training on dates specified required. Epic certification in assigned applications within 6 weeks of completion of final Epic course required.
