Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. Responsibilities/Expectations
Job responsibilities include those listed in competencies document. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Developing role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications (such as Microsoft Office) Designing, developing, and maintaining instructional training materials. Maintaining policy and procedure documentation. Incorporating feedback from others into existing training and training administration procedures. Learning new content and consulting with subject matter experts to develop training materials and answer any participant questions. Assisting with building and testing of training environments and providing support and troubleshooting issues. Collaborating with other trainers by co-facilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises as needed. Preparing training lessons, printing materials, and setting up the training room and environment prior to the training session. Presenting information verbally and in writing in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Following up with trainees outside of the classroom to offer additional support. Serving as an expert educator to internal staff. Training and credentialing additional classroom trainers as needed. Training staff and end users by teaching technical topics as needed. Managing projects by prioritizing projects and by creating and adhering to timelines If deemed necessary, participates in an on-call rotation schedule, to include daily, but also possibly after hours and weekend call to provide client support. Creates rosters, certificates of completion, and maintains accurate records of student attendance. Ability to round / communicate effectively with all levels of staff and present education in an organized, consistent manner, taking the students ends into account during training. Works with IT Application Analysts to continually improve the quality and functionality of online documentation.
