Job Description:

Purpose
• Intermountain Health is seeking providers to deliver in-person support to their peers prior to Epic go-live and during the 3 weeks after Epic goes live in the Canyons and Desert regions as an Epic Provider Superuser (“PSU”).
• The role is open to Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

Job Essentials
• Work collaboratively with members of the Digital Technology Services (DTS) Learning and Engagement Team.
• Take Epic training early in March 2025 (Not paid hours, all providers attend this training).
• Spend 3 hours a week for 14 weeks on the following:
o Super User Orientation
o Rounding on peers of assigned geography or facility to give Epic Journey updates
o Hosting lunch and learns with peers to on specific topics
o Following up with providers who struggled with training or to pass their assessments
o Coordinating with Epic Journey team to participate in readiness activities (exploration labs, shadow charting, workflow dress rehearsals)
• Provide 40 hours of in-person support to providers during the first three weeks after go-live in September 2025:
o Rounding on peers of assigned geography or facility
o Assists providers of aligned geography at the elbow
o Coordinates with local operational leadership on escalations
o Helps de-escalate provider escalations and concerns
o Virtually assist peers across the system in the same specialty if need arises
• Total time commitment is 82 hours.

Minimum Requirements

Active MD or DO or Advanced Practice Provider.Currently employed or affiliated in the Canyons or Desert Regions of Intermountain Health.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Approval of clinical supervisor to engage in the above activities, which depending on individual circumstances may interfere with current job responsibilities. Do not apply for this role if you work full time and will not be allowed to cut back or add onto your current responsibilities during June-September 2025.

Prior Epic certification or experience is not required but beneficial.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$7.25 - $999.99
