Epic Systems Analyst IV, Digital Enablement
*SUMMARY* Under general supervision, provides functional and technical systems analyst support at the most advanced level for the Epic Suite Applications. Serves as a liaison between IT and its business partners, to coordinate and help affect system installations, modifications, and on-going enhancements to routine and non-routine system operations. Performs maintenance, development and customization of the system(s). Processes information and maintains codes, tables and reports. Prepares and creates written documentation for all changes to systems. Serves as occasional system support to users. Performs systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Understands and assists with creating and building workflows within area of focus as well as any overlapping processes. Functions as a top-level individual contributor. Acts as internal consultant or subject matter expert providing technical guidance and leadership on the most complex projects. Acts independently or with only very general direction. Position will focus on EpicCare, MyChart, Haiku/Canto, and Care Everywhere applications. *GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Serves in highest level of Systems Analysis. Impact of actions can reach across the enterprise and/or external to the organization. * Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision-making. * Applies organizational policy and may participate in establishment of short-range plans and objectives within scope of department/division/operating unit goals and objectives. Held accountable for achieving results. * Initiates and serves as a project leader for wide variety of highly complex systems analysis projects. * Participates in analyzing data conversion needs for system migrations. * Creates, modifies and runs global import functions. Updates and modifies information on individual and multiple records. * Generates routine reports and designs special reports as requested. Identifies customer needs, evaluates existing reports and recommends or develops additional ad-hoc reports. * Reviews and tests each new release and resolve any outstanding issues with vendor before users are permitted to access the new release. * Analyzes, plans, coordinate, and participate in the execution of the rollout of the software across appropriate venues (service areas, ancillary systems, etc.). * Establishes, documents, and adheres to change-control procedures for the system. * Coordinates implementation and communication about software updates, changes, and upgrades with users. * Performs other duties as assigned. *DIGITAL ENABLEMENT* * Collaborates with clinical informatics, technical, and vendor teams to identify opportunities for digital health tool adoption and ensures seamless interoperability with the EHR. * Leads the implementation and integration of digital health tools and third-party applications within the EHR system to enhance patient experience, provider efficiency, and clinical outcomes, as assigned. * Develops and maintains integration workflows using industry standards such as FHIR and Open Epic APIs to ensure secure and efficient data exchange between systems. * Serves as subject matter expert on digital health technologies and EHR integration capabilities, staying current with industry trends and regulatory requirements. * Participates in the development of product roadmaps related to digital health by lending expertise in Epic’s product roadmap, as well as industry trends and product evolution. * Ensures compliance with data privacy and security standards, including HIPAA and organizational policies through all integration implementations. *EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS* High school diploma (or equivalent education, training or experience) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Epic certification not required but a plus. *EXPERIENCE* Experience typically acquired through at least seven years of experience with Epic Software or a demonstrated ability in the past to meet the requirements listed in this position required. *SKILLS* Excellent export and import skills required. Well versed in industry rules and regulations required. Basic project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, manage project plan) required. Excellent communication and follow-up skills required. Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, required. A wide degree of creativity and latitude. Good working relationships and interactions with business partners. Actively investigates and pursues solutions that are outside the realm of previous experience. Manages multiple projects and deadlines concurrently required. Meet all deadlines required. Utilizes online and written materials to determine application and workflow solutions for organizational challenges required. Functions effectively as a team player who consistently meets expectations of internal and external customers while maintaining appropriate personal and professional interactions required. Provides excellent customer service, finding creative ways to avoid saying “no” while compromising with and educating users. Skilled in use of computer required. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet and database software required. MS Visio and/or Access knowledge a plus. *OTHER REQUIREMENTS* Able to use all electronic tools and applications relevant to the performance of the duties of the position, including but not limited to phone, keyboard, computer and computer applications.
