Position Summary:
Tidelands Health is seeking a dynamic Epic Trainer. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering Epic training courses, with a strong focus on driving user adoption in clinical settings. Epic certification is highly desirable. This role requires a deep understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to develop and deliver training using multiple methods, including in-person, virtual, and e-learning platforms. The trainer will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure the effective adoption and utilization of Epic systems within these specialized service lines.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver Epic training to clinical and administrative staff, including comprehensive training curricula, that is tailored to the specific needs of the Service Line.Implement multi-modal training delivery methods, including classroom sessions, virtual instruction, self-paced learning modules, and hands-on simulations.Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions that enhance the learners’ understanding of Epic workflows and functionality.Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and adjust training materials according to user needs and clinical workflows, ensuring that the content is relevant and addresses real-world scenarios.Provide ongoing support post-training, including answering questions, offering refresher courses, and troubleshooting issues with the Epic system.Track and evaluate learner progress, adoption rates, and competency in using the Epic system.Stay updated on Epic upgrades, enhancements, and best practices to incorporate these changes into training materials to ensure users are always utilizing the most current functionality.Serve as a subject matter expert for service line/Epic focus area, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiencies and effectiveness.Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills Required
Bachelor’s Degree.Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and delivering software training curriculum for healthcare systems.Proven experience in developing training curricula and instructional materials tailored to healthcare operations.Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply them in diverse training environments.Expertise in utilizing multiple training delivery methods (in-person, virtual, self-paced learning).Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of breaking down complex information into easily understandable concepts.Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams, operations leaders, and IT staff to ensure alignment of training with organizational goals.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple training sessions, programs, and projects.Education and Experience Preferred
Master’s Degree7 or more years of experience designing and delivering software training curriculum for healthcare systems is preferred.5 or more years of training Epic workflows.2 or more certifications in the service line modules.Experience in change management and user adoption strategies is a plus.Ability to analyze feedback and make improvements to training programs.Knowledge of clinical workflows.Service Line/Focus Areas:
