Epidemiologist - Contract - Durham, NC (REMOTE)
Proclinical is working alongside a pharmaceuticals company who are seeking an Epidemiologist to join their team.
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will focus on improving disease understanding relevant to drug development, including incidence, prevalence, risk factors, natural history, treatment patterns, comorbidities, co-medications, outcome measures, phenotypes, biomarkers, unmet needs, and their variations across demographics and geographies. This position supports clinical trial design, medication safety evaluation, and post-marketing surveillance activities.
Skills & Requirements:
Experience in Epidemiology in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience in an academic or government setting.Significant experience applying epidemiologic methods to study various questions in support of medicine development (safety, effectiveness, natural history of disease).Demonstrable experience leading pharmaco-epidemiologic research programs in a drug development environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate scientific evidence to peers and at scientific meetings.PhD in epidemiology or a relevant discipline (e.g., health services research, health outcomes research, public health, statistics, or pharmaceutical sciences).
