Summary You will serve as a Equal Employment Specialist in the Office of EEO of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL. Responsibilities You will provide advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, employees, and applicants on legal and procedural EEO program and procedures while maintaining neutrality. You will interpret EEOC and Dept of Navy all applicable Federal directives, policies and procedures. You will process and track Reasonable Accommodation Requests. You will process and track the status of informal discrimination complaints in tracking systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing comprehensive EEO consultative and administration services, including EEO counseling, training, and coordination of Special Emphasis programs and the Reasonable Accommodation (RA) program; 2) Researching, collect, analyze, prepare and maintain accurate records/case files, reports, and briefings; 3) Conducting informal inquiries into claims of discrimination focusing on complaint resolution; 4) Researching analyze and/or interpret EEOC and appropriate Federal directives, policies and procedures. Assess the impact of changes on the programs policies, practices, and procedures; 5) Compiling extract and analyze information and statistical data; 6) Offering guidance and assistance on a variety of EEO matters and reports; 7) Tracking the status of informal and formal discrimination complaints; 8) Responding to investigative data requests and coordinate the official investigation. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS - 09 Successful completion a master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR Successful completion two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree. OR Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. if related to the position being filled. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of specialized experience.
