Responsibilities You will perform the full range of specialized technical functions associated with the EEO program, including complaints processing, providing training, affirmative employment plan, special emphasis program management and related activities. You will review for determination if complaint falls within the purview of EEO laws and regulations, and draft official correspondence accordingly. You will work with employees and managers to reach resolutions that are mutually agreeable upon finalization. You will identify resolutions to problem areas and provide information to EEO Manager and other management officials in the interpretation of the legal requirements and procedural preparation, direction and implementation, of plans and reports. You will work with HR, Legal, and management officials in order to receive valid data for compliance assessments. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Comprehensive and thorough understanding of laws, Executive Orders, EEOC, OPM, MSPB, and DON regulations and directives; 2) Experience with judicial and administrative decisions, and policies and practices related to Federal sector equal employment opportunity; 3) Knowledge of the principals, procedures and regulations governing Federal civilian personnel; and 4) Applying analytical or fact-finding technique to interpret, resolve or recommend resolution on Federal equal employment opportunity program (e.g. informal and formal complaint of discrimination process, disability and reasonable accommodation process). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
