High mechanical aptitude, 12-volt electrical wiring (trailers, wire harness etc.), vehicle assembly experience is a plus and a desire to learn.Monday – Friday, 5am start to 1:30pm (OT till 3:30pm as needed) Healthcare, 25 paid days off, 401k match, uniforms, and more.Summary
The Equipment Assembler will be responsible for up-fitting and customizing vehicles to CTOS specifications. This involves adding, modifying, or enhancing equipment and features on standard utility trucks to make them suitable for specific tasks or industries. You will work with the Installation Production team to wire utility trucks, cranes and related equipment.
Electrical and Lighting Modifications: Utility trucks often require additional lighting, power outlets, and other electrical components.General knowledge of electrical components such as: switches, relays, fuses, circuit breaker, diodes, resistors etc. is desired.Wiring electrical components to an assortment of vehiclesKnowledge of 12V electrical systems including multi-plex wiring.Ability to follow both written and verbal installation instructions.Able to read wiring schematics, and use schematic to build custom wiring harnessesKnowledge of splicing, terminating, crimping different electrical pins, and proper tools for perfect crimps. Basic soldering skillsPhysically able to run wiring harnesses along frame rails of truck and in between drive axles.Maintaining tools, equipment, and shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability, and functioning of, required tools and equipment within a safe work area.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Performing other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient & effective functioning of the work unit.Required Skills and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDValid Driver’s LicenseBasic computer navigation and software skills.Physical Demands and Work Environment
Most of the work is performed in a shop and outside.Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet jack, and equipment of such nature.Frequent lifting of 60-100 poundsAbility to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumesWe Power the People That Strengthen Our Nation’s Infrastructure
