Equipment Control Coordinator ($20.02 - $30.03 DOE)
**Description** **Essential Duties** · Operates safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures · Maintains the trailer inventory at the assigned terminal and coordinates with other Equipment Control personnel and the Traffic Manager for effective utilization of equipment across the network · Responsible for coordinating with terminal operations personnel to inspect trailers and specialty equipment to maintain an accurate inventory · Uses Blackberry Radar Dashboard and Truckmate/AMS to keep accurate inventory records and generate reporting to effectively communicate and facilitate companywide equipment needs. · Manages equipment statuses and accurately manages the assignments to each group and the allowable dwell time on each unit to meet equipment control goals · Prepares reports for showing equipment detention, location, and utilization · Responsible for coordinating and tracking the on-hiring and off-hiring of lease and rental equipment · Reviews and reconciles on-hold, maintenance and foreign equipment log twice daily to help Operations follow trailer procedures · Coordinates other activities for Operations, Dispatch, Maintenance and licensing groups · Perform other duties as assigned **Qualifications** · High school diploma or GED equivalent · Minimum two years transportation experience · A valid driver license · TruckMate experience preferred **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** · Excellent writing skills for writing routine reports and other correspondence · General computer knowledge and proficiency using MS Office Suite application including Word, Outlook and Excel · Proficient use of transportation / ERP system, TruckMate preferred · Must have basic mathematical skills; the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions and percentages · Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy · Ability to multitask, to stay organized and prioritize work throughout the day · Applies commons sense understanding and good problem-solving skills to carry out instructions and accomplish work · Requires initiative and independent judgment · Exhibits a professional attitude and appearance **Working Environment** This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other office related devices.
