Our client in the Jacksonville, FL area is looking to hire a Equipment Controller for their location. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office Suite. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping. Responsibilities include conducting regular quality/compliance assessments on all transportation equipment to ensure adherence to DOT standards.

The Day-to-Day:

Assisting the Yard Supervisor in controlling all transportation equipment inventories and maintenanceOverseeing drivers, ensuring they are following company processes, procedures, and policiesDistributing corrective action work orders to designated maintenance department representatives and monitoring for completionCompleting day-end reports to document assessment findings and identified corrective action

Qualifications:

High school diploma is required.Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferredThree to five years’ experience in dispatch and/or fleet management is strongly preferred; some prior experience is requiredDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsMust be able to prioritize and manage multiple, competing projects and tasksStrong problem-solving skills and an excellent self-motivated work ethic are critical.Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office Suite. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keepingMust be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs continuallyMust have effective oral and written communication skills in person, on the phone, and via electronic communications

Pay Rate:

$20.00 to $22.00 /hr
