Underwrites new and additional exposure for equipment finance credit requests comprised of guidance lines, loans, and various lease products. Collaborates with Originators to accurately present findings, including business rationale and risk mitigations, to obtain credit approval and meet customer needs. On going Portfolio Management to monitor established borrowers financial performance and metrics.
Responsibilities Analyze business, industry, financial data, and other supporting credit information concerning an applicant's credit request; identifies key business and financial risks that may impact the repayment prospects by the borrower; derives conclusions supporting the credit recommendation based on documented facts and/or sound judgement.Prepare timely, concise, and accurate credit recommendations, with limited supervision or revision. Includes: (1) quantitative components within the underwriting narrative documenting the credit analysis; (2) accurate use of risk rating models to ensure customers and loans/leases are properly risk-rated; (3) accurate identification and mitigation of all exceptions to Bank tracked policy exceptions, procedures, and compliance regulations. Monitor borrower financial performance in line with equipment finance loan documents; ensures required financial statements are spread in accordance with Bank Guidelines and resulting covenant calculations are accurate, complete and adhere to approval conditions and loan documentation. Partners with Originators in customer and prospect calls as appropriate. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding underwriting, compliance, portfolio management, regulatory guidelines and other policies and regulations as applicable to this job description. Qualifications 4-year degree preferably in finance, accounting, or business with emphasis in finance and accounting. Minimum experience of at least 10 years in commercial or corporate banking or equipment financeAdvanced Analytical skillsExcellent organizational and communication skills are requiredBe fluent in all loan and lease products and the overall equipment finance industryStrong computer skills including Microsoft products.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
