Our client, a prominent produce wholesaler in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. A strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Support production processes by updating department area boards, facilitating discussions, and planning/scheduling assignments.Manage administrative tasks, including paperwork and communication with fellow Production Operators and Leads.Optimize the use of carrots while upholding the quality and integrity of our brand.Utilize computer programs to manage inventory and print labels accurately.Maintain strong communication with leads and team members to track grower and block utilization effectively.Minimize waste of product, time, and resources.Operate and control machine-specific buttons, levers, and other controls with precision.Regularly calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of Global Quality standards and procedures.Strong organizational skills, including familiarity with 5S, cleanliness, SOPs, and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).Reliable work history.

Pay and Shift:

Pay: $16.00 to $16.50 per hour.Shift: 8 to 10-hour shifts with multiple options available; open availability preferred.This is a 3-month assignment.
